Diagnostic Testing

At Automark we use Bosch among a wide range of diagnostic testing equipment to carry out our diagnostic testing.

All modern vehicles have computer controlled systems and sensors that continually report to the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) on how they are performing. If a problem occurs, it logs a fault code on the ECU’s memory. Our diagnostic testing equipment can read the fault. Some engine problems that create a fault code will not always activate a warning light. these vehicles can be coupled to our car diagnostic testing equipment to pinpoint where any problems are.

Diagnostic testing has obvious benefits in keeping your car in prime condition, ensuring it remains compliant with current emission laws and extending its lifespan. It also means that you do not have to deal with problems once they become more apparent and either affect the vehicles reliability or safety.

Diagnostic fault codes are not always accurate, cars sometimes generate erroneous codes. So errors need to checked, our diagnostic testing reveals the error codes and this information is used by our technician to understand any areas of concern. This is where our experience helps us to determine where the problem is from the data retrieved.
